PART OF SWEET TEA MUSIC
Don't forget to check the GOODWIN website for news about gigs and the new EP.
Goodwin Audio was born out of quitting playing live music and focusing on recording and becoming a song writer. I have recorded several other bands and solo acoustic acts during the first few years but the last 5 years have been solely recording GOODWIN CDs and solo (unreleased) material. This is just a place to recall the meager beginnings and new beginnings alike.
I will upload lots of old funny, terrible and just plan weird music I have recorded since having a 4 track recorder back in the eighties as well. When it is done you will find it here.
Here are 3 new songs from Goodwin. These new songs were recorded and produced by Goodwin. The songs Smear and The Aphorist are newer songs written by Daniel. The basic tracks were recorded at Damien's house and all the overdubs were done at Goodwin Audio. The song Slow is a Tony and Daniel composistion. All songs were recorded into a Fostex hard disk recorder intially. Then tracks were then flown into Pro-Tools and final overdubs were done directly into Pro-Tools at my place. But who cares? Listen and enjoy. Goodwin.
Here are the final tracks from the 4 Song EP from the Missle Men. Recorded, Mixed and Master by myself. While the entire project spanned a couple of months the final overdubs and mixing required I stay up to about 3:00AM for 5 days straight. It was a blast and there are lots of things I would change and still may. Recorded directly into Pro-Tools 8 LE using the Digi 002 interface and all my external mic pres and mics. Here are the orignal demos for the Missle Men! Missle Men on Myspace.
I will be posting pictures of our recording sessions for reference Favorite Albums.
I am constantly rotating new gear and many many amps. Many of them I still wish I had like my old Marshall TSL601, Marshall MONOBLOC and 80's SOHO preamp that is hard to find but sounds just freaking cool. I down to only my VHT head and about 6 different guitar cabinets now.
